This very determined pine tree stands alone about 1/2 mile offshore on an island in Sam Rayburn Lake in east Texas. I have seen this in varying water depths including when the island was submerged to the base of the tree in water. The majority of the time, the land around this is doubled how it shows here. This photo was taken on a very windy day when I first had my drone, "Dwight" insured. As Dwight was flying out toward the island I began receiving alerts to land it immediately due to high wind. I quickly took this photo and then held my breath while I flew it back to shore. I hope you enjoy the beautiful pastels of this photograph.
