Description
Painted lady butterfly enjoying the fruits of the bloom of a butterfly bush in Texas. I'm always fascinated with the details that can be seen using a macro lens and this is a great example of that. The spots in the butterfly's eyes coordinate exactly with the color and pattern in the wing. You can also see the "straw" they drink from extended into the bloom of this butterfly bush.
