One day while bird hunting in Colleyville Texas (photographically speaking) I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. When I looked down at the base of a tree I saw a raccoon scurrying around and then climbing the tree. I switched my camera settings a bit and grabbed focus on this guy. He heard the shutter sounds firing so he stopped for a couple of seconds to pose. The raccoon is noted for its intelligence, as studies show that it is able to remember the solution to tasks for at least three years. It is usually nocturnal and omnivorous, eating about 40% invertebrates, 33% plants, and 27% vertebrates. Normally I am not a fan of black and white photography but I absolutely love this photo! I hope you do as well.
