Description
We ventured to the top of a mountain at Chena Hot Springs Resort north of Fairbanks, Alaska to catch the northern lights. This is my favorite photograph of the night because to me it looks like the hand of God.
Being from Texas and not having the pleasure of seeing these lights before our trip, I needed to research how to take photographs of the Aurora. I was thrilled to see that the research paid off and I was able to capture these. One of the most memorable parts of that night is when a group of tourist from Japan saw that I was successful. They brought their cameras to me so I could set them for them. Neither of us knew the other's language but they were thrilled and even jumping up and down when they took a photo after I set their cameras. A night that I will never forget!

This is stunning. My family was stationed in Mass when I was young and we were lucky enough to occasionally see the Northern Lights. Such a beautiful shot and perfect photo title.
Angie Mossburg replied:
Thank you so much Adrienne! I live in Texas so we love going to Alaska in Feb or Mar to see the lights. I appreciate your comment.
