The beautiful roseate spoonbill cannot be matched in beauty! This lovely bird was foraging in Florida. The roseate spoonbill is a gregarious wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family, Threskiornithidae. It is a resident breeder in both South and North America. The roseate spoonbill's pink colour is diet-derived, consisting of the carotenoid pigment canthaxanthin, like the American flamingo. The color gets stronger during mating season.

Photography has been my passion for decades. I began with a camera that produced an undeveloped photo that required another minute to process outside the camera. After a minute, the built-in timer sounded indicating it was time to peel off the top layer of the photo to unveil the latest work of art. From the days of Polaroid to film canisters to memory cards and digital processing, I have enjoyed each advancement. Prior to COVID I enjoyed traveling and landscape photography. I also enjoyed doing some macro work with flowers. God provides such beauty that sometimes cannot be seen without a macro lens.
