I have always loved the scent of a good rose and find that some yellow roses have a very strong fragrant scent. I received this rose plant from a dear friend and it has produced some phenomenal buds through the years. If I could only share the scent....
I've named this photo; YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS. If you're unfamiliar with the meaning of the song by that name, it's about a young slave woman, Emily West who was sent by General Sam Houston to distract Santa Anna during the defeat of his forces at San Jacinto during the Texas Revolution.
There's a yellow rose in Texas that I am gonna see
Nobody else could miss her, not half as much as me...
